Lewis was always coming back to this theme in his writings, it seems to me. And it can't be stressed enough in the midst of our cultural milieu with its fanatic obsession with its subjective, pragmatic ethical orientation. "If you look for truth, you may find comfort in the end; if you look for comfort you will not get either comfort or truth only soft soap and wishful thinking to begin, and in the end, despair." (C.
